I will be uninstalling this app and going to Google Tasks after having used gtasks for many years. Since upgrading my phone (also apparently upgraded my version of gtasks) I have been endlessly harassed with a pop-up message from Ticktick as well as other unimprovements of this latest version. Goodbye Gtasks. I knew the well.

What happened? I use this daily and today it stopped working. I cleared the cache and made sure the app was up to date and still nothing. I am unable to add it to a home screen anymore.

Unable to sync. I uninstalled the app. On re-installing, all my Tasks have vanished.

Like others, Gtasks is no longer reliably syncing to Google tasks after 10 years of happy use. I will mark a task as completed in Gtasks, only to have it remain in Google tasks as undone. This is not consistent - 1 out of 3 completed tasks will sync appropriately. Rescheduling task due dates in GTasks does not reschedule them in Google Tasks. Renaming tasks on either platform doesn't seem to transfer. Very disappointed with most recent update, which seems to have broken the functionality in favor of inserting more code to run ads. Unfortunately, this is still the only task manager that displays multiple task lists on a single widget which is a requirement for me.

Very useful app though the synchronisation with google tasks seems to be one direction. I.e google task seem to be imported only. Also wish was possible to schedule a task relative to another task.

I bought a new phone recently and had my apps transferred over. All my notes were still in the app at first and then they disappeared. I had important information in there. Can anyone help me out? I didn't erase anything, so it has to be somewhere in my phone.

I've used GTasks for years and been really pleased with it. More recently, GTasks has become unstable, only partly synchronising across devices. Uninstalling and re-installing the app can provide a temporary fix. I've given up now and switched to the reliable Google tasks app, which is largely similar, but without the bulk management options. A shame because I much preferred GTasks before it became unreliable.

Paid version and now I have ads to exit?? Not what I paid for, have had no ads for years and now every time I try to exit.
