I've used this app the past few days and here is what I have to say about it: THE GOOD: Great interface. Online web portal for creating tracks and seamlessly transferring them. 3D relief maps. Excellent routing. THE BAD: There is no option to hide SOME waypoints. This is a fundamental flaw if you have hundreds like me, but only need a few. They're also not able to be grouped. Apparently there is track slew, but it only works when moving. When stationary it bugs out and moves all over the place.

This new update has a major bug. Thr arrow cursor sometimes follows your track and sometimes is does not. Multiple restarts required to get it to work and therefore losing your total recorded track. VERY FRUSTRATING

Gaia GPS is an excellent replacement for ViewRanger for off-trail bushwhacking. Easily drop waypoints and photos with text then later use the Guide Me or the you-always-facing-up excellent map feature to navigate in deep woods. Not quite VR but better than the others I tried. The computer app is amazing. Easy to sling bushwhack routes and POIs with Google Earth. Auto syncs with phone. OutdoorActive is a poor replacement for ViewRanger from the company that bought VR just to trash it.

Installed app to Lenovo tablet, And trying to connect with FB account. Unfortunately it does not connect and always switching back to login. Where is the problem by connecting in androyd tablets?

I really hate this app. Very buggy, constantly crashing my tablet. The android interface is crudest and clumsiest I have ever seen. Too many restrictions on what maps I can use, and when. Map downloads are a total pain. All of the much hyped map selection are just rehashed versions of the same four maps. It has some nice features, but nothing I can't find on other apps. For a purchased app, this should be much, much better.

Map arrow will not move as you change position on Android, iOS has this feature when navigation mode is off, android does not. This is an option sorely needed for overlanding or any auto travel with an Android device.

Can't open. Apparently had account years ago but reset email doesn't come thru (yes I checked spam) and signing in using Facebook results in "unknown error"

Compass needs smoothing/averaging algorithm applied so that it's not constantly twitching around. OpenCycleMap performance is bad; other apps load it much faster/smoother so I know it is possible. Please improve.

*edit* thanks for the reply. Both of those features are still available. I was unaware on how to access them. 4 stars because the app used to be much more intuitive Used to love this app and recommend it to all of my co workers. I honestly don't like it all that much anymore. What happened to features like: 1. Being able to have layers on fade 2. Seeing map download progress Overall the user-friendly app that I used to love has been garbage after the acquisition from outdoor magazine.

Getting a bug in android auto. Every time I go into reverse and the back up camera comes on the screen, when going back into drive, the app errors out and has to restart. Vehicle is a 2021 Ford Bronco. Thanks!
